Senior HR Advisor - Armourguard

Joining a substantial company comprised of 14 branches throughout New Zealand and employing over 1200 staff, this comprehensive role will provide robust HR support across the business, focusing primarily on the People, Employee Relations and all that it encompasses.

Collaborate & help shape their national HR team, as the successful candidate you will work closely with a newly appointed and highly experienced Head of People & Culture. You will have a Mentor to learn from as well as the freedom to define & evolve the position organically as is required. This role is being created to assist with a major project the Armourguard team are undertaking however could evolve into a permanent position at the completion of the Fixed-Term.

To be Successful, You will be someone

  • With excellent attention to detail in all manners of your work, particularly verbal and written communications.
  • 2+ years of experience working as an HR Advisor in Employment Relations Issues from start to finish with minimal guidance.
  • Who works well under pressure and can take on mulitple projects/tasks at once whilst maintaining a calm demeanour.

This is a 12-18 month fixed term contract whereby you have access to onsite parking and some flexibility to Working From Home.

We envisage to be successful in this role you will bring with you:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field (degree may be substituted for additional experience)

You will have a solid understanding/experience in:

  • human resources and payroll processes
  • benefit & compensation administration
  • recruitment & onboarding processes
  • handling employee relations issues
  • organizational planning & development
  • employment law compliance
  • performance management
  • employee development
  • corrective action
  • employee investigations
  • reporting

This role invovles training / coaching people at all levels of the business, across multiple sites. Having strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal is a must. Stakeholder engagement will be something you enjoy and are naturally good at.
