Tax Fund Accountant

Our Client offers a wide range of financial services for corporate, institutional and private investors spanning corporate and institutional banking, wealth management, asset management and insurance.

The Tax Fund Accountant role is a developmental role that would fit someone with ambition and the abilities to learn and develop into a New Zealand tax expert that adds value to BNP and its clients.

Our Client is open to candidates who have recently graduated or with a few years of experience in the industry and come with a plethora of motivation and thirst for knowledge across Tax and Fund Accounting. You will have the opportunity to learn from one of New Zealand's most knowledge Tax Managers with 20+ years of experience.

You will come with the confidence to interact with any and all stakeholders both locally and internationally.

You will come with knowledge of:

  • Fund Accounting
  • Unit Pricing
  • Investment Administration and reconciliations

The successful candidate will understand the importance of accuracy in reporting, time management and the ability to operate effectively within critical time constraints.

This position can act in an advisory position for other areas and is responsible for

  • investigating
  • analysing and resolving taxation queries
  • problems and differences that regularly arise during the tax reconciliation process
  • problems and differences that regularly arise from the take on of new clients or products

It is essential that the team member has initiative, strong analytical skills and is able to work effectively with other team members to resolve any problems and to improve efficiency.

The role requires motivation to achieve individual and team goals and to growing technical ability and business knowledge. This will be achieved through participation in on-the-job training & education, attending industry forums and remaining aware of policy and regulatory changes.
